We had a look at what was out there for small businesses...and it wasn't pretty! We saw that you either had to cough up for a good looking site (but without the power to update it yourself), or go for a cheap, mass-produced template look.

So we took a step back and decided to figure out how we could help.

The best plan, we decided, was to offer a fixed price for putting together a great design that is perfect for your business, then give you the option of simply paying to host your site with us or upgrading to our wonderfully-simple website editor (click here for a demo!), which lets you keep your website up to date wherever you are.

It seems to be a winning formula judging by the feedback we've received.

What is the process for putting together a small site?

After you make contact, we'll arrange a meeting (or phone call for non-local clients) where we'll discuss your business and goals for your website, as well as looking at what branding you already have in place. Materials such as your logo, photos you use, leaflets etc. will all be useful to us at this stage. We'll look at what you like and don't like in terms of design, and discuss any absolute 'must have' items for your site.

We'll then produce your first set of design concepts, and go over these with you, evaluating what you like best about each one, and making adjustments until we've got a design you love.

When everything is finalised, we'll get your site ready to go live. This will include making sure it is well optimised for the search engines. If you don't opt for our site editor option, we'll need all your content at this stage. However, if you do want to use our editor, we'll usually arrange a lesson for you where we'll add in your content together, so that you can get a bit of practice with the editor. Don't worry - it's not hard, but practice makes perfect!

The web development process in ongoing, so we'll keep in touch after launch to ensure your site is performing and meeting it's objectives, and to work on search engine promotion with you if you wish.

How Long Does it Take to Launch?

There are many variables at play here, so it varies from site to site. However, as long you are able to answer any questions we have and feedback to us on samples we send through to you in good time, we usually suggest about two weeks for one of our small business websites.

Of course, if you need it quicker, we'll try to accommodate that, and there's no hurry, so if you want to take longer to research and plan your site with us, that's fine to.

What Support will I Receive

We don't expect that you'll find any issues with your site. We do understand that if you opt for our web editor though, it can sometimes seem a bit daunting, or you might just want to check something out with us or get at a reminder.

Once your site is online, we'll be here at the other end of the phone and e-mail to help you out if you ever need any assistance.

Support is one of the areas we pride ourselves on, and it seems out customers really appreciate that.

How Much Will My Site Cost?

The cost of a website is obviously dependant upon its' complexity. However, when working on a standard "brochure" style site as described on this page, we can usually work to the following price structure:

Design and Setup: £395.00
This includes initial work on the design until we have a design you love, and the setup work to get the site ready for the web. You then need to choose:

Hosting Only
OR
Editable Site
£95.00 / Year  
£195.00 / Year
We provide hosting which includes e-mail access and statistics. Any updates will need to be made by us at a charge.
 
Includes hosting, e-mail accounts and statistics, but we'll also install our site editor software allowing you to update your own site whenever you wish, and support you fully in using the software.

Obviously, if you require more complex features, we'd be happy to advise.

We promise that there will never be any hidden extras - we'll always arrange a price with you before we commence any work.
